In the darle night sky, Hamlet
 saw a tall man - but was ita
 man, or smoke? There was a
 crown on his head ... was he
 Hamlct's father? He was taller,
 and he moved with the dark sky.
 Hamlet could see lhrough him!
 'I am your father's ghost,' he told
 Hamlet. 'Listen to my story.'







         The Ghost looked at Hamlet. 'So your uncle, my brother Claudius,
         murdered me. He wanted my crown - he wanted to be king. And
         now Claudius is marrying Gertrude. She's your mother and my
         wife, but now she's with him. And he wears my crown.'










         'Hamlet, my son. You must
         kill Claudius.' the Ghost said.
         '.But the new day is coming.
         Goodbye. Remember me.' And
         he moved baclc into the night ...
         'My uncle!' said Hamlet. 'My
         uncle murdered the king, my
 'Your uncle Claudius killed me,' the   'Quietl y.  he put poison into my   father. And now my father's a
 Ghost said. 'When I slept under a tree   ear,' the Ghost told Harnlet.   sad ghost. Oh yes, I must kill
 one afternoon, he carne to me.'   'And quietly, he walked away.'   Claudius. What a villain.'

 on their head   or drink it
       marry  to make someone your   villain  abad man or woman
 uncle  your father's (or mother's)   husband or wife
 brother
